Welcome to Food to Go Anacortes!
***UPDATE***$27,000 RAISED*** A BIG THANK YOU to THE MAJESTIC INN AND SPA and everyone who supported Food to Go at our annual fundraiser May 17th. 100% of all donations and ticket sales go toward purchasing food for kids in the program, and we are constantly striving to be good stewards to best serve these kids in our district who don't have enough to eat over the weekends. We are so grateful for the ongoing support in our community for our kids. The evening would not have been possible without the gracious and generous support from The Majestic Inn and Spa, who fully sponsored the evening-a big thanks to Russ, Tiffany, Kerra, Lindsey, Whitney, Lyndsee, Sylvester, and Chef Kris. Food To Go Anacortes is a weekend backpack food program for Anacortes students in that launched in September of the 2015/16 school year. Our goal is to provide healthy and nutritious supplemental weekend meals for those children in our community that don’t have enough to eat over the weekend in order to improve their health and their ability to learn.
Currently, we are providing supplemental weekend food bags to between 135 and 165 Anacortes students-elementary thru high school age-each week. Food to Go Anacortes helps to fill the weekend gap for students in our community that need help with having enough to eat over the weekend.
